Winter price cuts on selected Suzuki models

Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT retros

To make it even easier for customers to put a new motorcycle in the garage this winter and prepare for the forthcoming spring, Suzuki has dropped the prices of a number of key models in its range, via a healthy dealer contribution.

Suzuki dealers will be offering a £1,000 deposit contribution on the GSX-S1000GT+ sports tourer, and the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT modern retros. There will also be a £300 contribution from authorised Suzuki retailers on the GSX-8S middleweight naked.

Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+ on a marina

As a result, the £1,000 contribution reduces the OTR price of the GSX-S1000GT+ – complete with its standard-fit 36-litre panniers – to just £11,999. The 8TT drops to £8,999, and the 8TT to £8,599. The £300 contribution to the 8S makes it £7,999 OTR. The new OTR prices are available to both finance and cash buyers.

The 8T and 8TT pack Suzuki’s award-winning 776cc parallel twin engine into retro-inspired packages; the 8T takes inspiration from Suzuki’s T500, while the 8TT is a clear nod to the GS1000S. Along with the 8S, they feature a bi-directional quickshifter as standard and a choice of power modes and traction control settings. The punchy, torque-laden motor is wrapped in a steel frame with a separate bolt-on subframe.

2026 GSX-8S on twisty road

All four models are also currently included in Suzuki's offer of free heated grips, which runs until the end of January 2026, and all come with up-to-10-year-warranty.

The price reduction further underlines Suzuki’s commitment to making it easier for customers to plan ahead and own a new motorcycle ready for the season ahead, following the reduction of its rate of finance on several other models in the range.

Terms and conditions
£1,000 dealer contribution applies to the purchase of a new GSX-8T, GSX-8TT, GSX-S1000GT+ only from a participating Suzuki Dealership. 2026 Suzuki GSX-S1000 riding on city street

Suzuki has dropped the rate of finance on its V-Strom 1050DE and V-Strom 1050RE adventure machines, as well as the GSX-S1000 super-naked.

The lower rate of finance is available on either a three-year PCP or HP agreement, with a minimum deposit of £500.

The GSX-S1000 uses Suzuki’s proven 1000cc inline-four engine and is equipped with all the technology a rider needs as standard, including a bi-directional quickshifter, selectable power modes and traction control modes, all controlled via a simple-to-use switchgear and displayed via a colour TFT screen.

2026 Suzuki V-Strom 1050RE on winding road

The V-Strom 1050RE comes with an IMU-governed electronics package that includes lean angle-sensitive ABS and traction control, with three modes to choose from, hill hold, cruise control, and a bi-directional quickshifter.

The range-topping 1050DE adds an off-road specific traction control setting, switchable ABS at the rear, as well as longer travel suspension, different ‘bars and ‘pegs, and swaps the 19/17” cast wheel arrangement for 21/17” spoke wheels.

Suzuki reveals SV-7GX at Eicma

Suzuki has revealed a new SV-7GX, which was unveiled today at Eicma in Milan, Italy. The covers were also pulled off an updated GSX-S1000GX.

The SV-7GX uses an updated version of Suzuki’s proven – and somewhat legendary – 645cc V-twin engine, which is now fully-compliant with the latest Euro5+ emissions regulations. Peak power is 73PS and peak torque is 64Nm. Aiding efficiency and performance is a new magneto, transmission gears, airbox, a ride-by-wire throttle, and a new exhaust system.

As the GX suffix suggests, the SV-7GX will provide a middleweight sports crossover option in the Suzuki lineup, alongside the range-topping GSX-S1000GX.

A steel trellis frame is equipped with suspension from KYB, which provides a plush ride quality designed to make it easy to cover distance in comfort on the 7GX. The seat height remains accessible for a multitude of riders at 795mm. Wheels are new cast aluminium 17”, front and rear, and are shod with Pirelli Angel GT 2 tyres. They work with the chassis to provide the sport element to the new sports crossover. Tokico calipers and twin 290mm discs provide the stopping power.

Tall, wide, tapered aluminium ‘bars provide an upright and comfortable riding position, but place weight over the front tyre enough to generate feel and allow riders to enjoy the sporty side of the 7GX when away from the motorway or dual carriageways. Handguards come as standard.

On the electronics side, smartphone connectivity comes as standard and allows riders to access everything from maps to contacts and messages from intuitive switchgear on the left handlebar. All information is displayed via a colour TFT screen, which also indicates the selected throttle map, with three to choose from, as well as the chosen traction control setting, also with three to choose from, as well as off. There’s a USB-C charging port on the left hand side. The electronics package also includes a standard-fit bi-directional quickshifter for seamless up and down gear changes.

Wind-tunnel tested bodywork shields the rider from the worst of the elements and provides aerodynamic efficiency, with styling cues taken from the bigger GSX-S1000GX. There’s a 17.4-litre fuel tank. Lighting is full LED all round, with a new asaerial design at the front for improved illumination and visibility while cornering.

An accessories catalogue includes a 45-litre top box, soft panniers, tank bags, and heated grips.

Pricing for the SV-7GX will be announced in due course, with the arrival set for late summer, 2026.

Suzuki has also announced updates to the GSX-S1000GX. The ultimate sports crossover model – which was revealed at Eicma only two years ago – has received a round of subtle updates to further improve its performance as a motorcycle adept at both covering long distances in speed and comfort, as well as offering up sporting intentions when the rider wants to enjoy a more twisty, winding route.

A suite of changes includes the addition of new winglets to the GX’s fairing, improving downforce and enhancing stability at high speeds. Modifications to the mirror mountings reduce vibrations for clearer rearward visibility.

The GSX-S1000GX puts out 152PS and 106Nm of torque from its 999cc inline four-cylinder engine. A twin-spar aluminium frame and GSX-R-derived swingarm is suspended by semi-active electronic suspension from Showa.

A colour TFT screen shows selected modes of a plethora of rider aids, including seven IMU-governed traction control settings, and the ability to disengage entirely. Those traction control settings are also linked to Suzuki’s roll torque control system and an anti-wheelie system. Lean-angle sensitive ABS, a bi-directional quickshifter, and cruise control also come as standard, along with smartphone connectivity.

In the UK the GSX-S1000GX will be available solely as a GX+ variant, which means it will come with free 36-litre panniers as standard.

It will arrive in early 2026 with an OTR price of £14,999.

Suzuki also confirmed that the e-Address, first revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi in January this year, will form part of its European model range in 2026, More information will be released in due course.

Pricing confirmed for GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition

The full colour lineup of the GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition

Suzuki has confirmed that the GSX-R1000R 40th Anniversary Edition will come with an OTR price of £17,599 when it arrives in the spring of 2026.

Announced earlier in 2025 – the 40th anniversary of the GSX-R range – the new GSX-R1000R gets an updated engine, with modifications that include a new crankshaft, crankcases, pistons, connecting rods, and a higher compression ratio. The MotoGP-derived variable valve timing system remains.

There’s also a new exhaust, an updated suite of electronics, and winglets that increase downforce at higher speeds. The changes mean the new engine meets Euro5+ emissions standards and boasts a higher performance ceiling, too.

An electronics package comprises an IMU-governed traction control and roll torque control system and ABS system. There’s launch control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and selectable power modes.

Two new colour schemes on the 8R

Suzuki has announced a suite of new colour options for its GSX-8R and V-Strom 1050RE machines.

The award-winning 8R will continue to be available in Suzuki’s trademark Metallic Triton Blue in 2026, but the existing grey wheels are swapped for racier black ones. A new white version joins the ranks, offset by blue decals and wheels, and a metallic matt black option sports red graphics and wheels.

1. Introduction

The Forza name has long been a powerful force in Honda’s two wheeled lineup. Its history as a premium, midsize scooter goes back to the year 2000: the first model set the template, delivering a lively ride, plenty of storage room and an innovative combined braking system. It was well received throughout Europe, where owners found its multirole capability useful in every aspect of daily life.

While retaining its trademark mix of sporty and GT character the Forza 300 constantly evolved, aiming to exceed owners’ expectations with every upgrade. In 04YM it gained Honda’s S MATIC electronically controlled CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a theft deterring Smart key, highly efficient PGMFI fuel injection for the engine and space for two fullface helmets under the seat.

05YM saw the addition of ABS brakes and, in 08YM, luxurious touches like an audio package and speakers plus upgraded S MATIC (with phased auto shift mode) and Combined ABS brakes were added. In 16YM it moved on again, as the Forza 300 with a new ‘sit-in’ design large enough to carry two people in total comfort, even at highways speeds.

18YM marked the unveiling of a radically revised Forza 300 – lighter, smaller, sharper and sportier – following in the hugely successful wheel tracks of its little sibling, the Forza 125, while retaining all the best attributes of its ‘GT’ nature. In 21YM it was time for another advance: the Forza 350. Faster, even more useful with fresh technology it set a stylishly desirable new benchmark.

25YM welcomed a new Forza 350, with practical updates aimed at increasing owner satisfaction in daily life. 26YM sees some fresh new paint options keep the mid-sized scooter – built in Honda Italia Industriale in Atessa – ahead of the game.

2. Model Overview

Sleek, stylish and aerodynamically efficient with its electric screen, the Forza 350 exudes premium appeal through its layered upper fairing, lighting unit and surround. The lithe front end features chiselled lines and defined creases to create a sporty, purposeful look.  A sturdy chassis – comprising tubular steel frame, 33mm telescopic forks, twin rear shock absorbers and 15/14-inch front/rear wheel combination – provides surefooted handling confidence and traffic-busting agility.

A five-inch TFT screen offers intuitive control, clarity in bright light and easy Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity through simplified L/H switchgear. A USB Type C socket provides convenient charging, with room for two full-face helmets in the under-seat (now internally lit) storage compartment.

Developing 21.5kW and 31.5Nm, the Forza 350’s 330cc engine is strong all the way through its rev-range, delivering crisp acceleration and a top speed of 137km/h. It also has new ECU settings, catalyser, muffler internals and SO2 sensor for Euro 5+ compliance.

The 26YM Forza 350 will be offered in the following colours:

  • *NEW* – Pearl Nightstar Black
  • *NEW* – Mat Cynos Gray Metallic
  • *NEW* – Pearl Cool White
  • *NEW* – Mat Carnelian Red Metallic
  • Pearl Falcon Gray

A 26YM Forza 350 Special Edition is also available exclusively in Pearl Nightstar Black with red graphics and stitching.

3. Key Features
    3.1 Styling & Equipment

  • Full height electric screen adjusts through 180mm
  • Five-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity
  • Smart Key operation of ignition and (optional) 45-litre top box
  • Emergency Stop Signal function (ESS) warns other road users of sudden braking

The Forza 350’s lines flow back from its electric screen (controlled by a switch on the left handlebar) which adjusts through 180mm. It’s designed to provide wind protection, with airflow directed around and over the rider’s head, and reduce wind noise. Stability and comfort at higher speeds – and long distances – can be instantly exchanged for a greater sense of freedom around town, by lowering the screen.

For comfort at higher speeds a large front air duct manages negative pressure in front of the rider, reducing the natural effect of the wind pushing the rider back.

Sculpted for both style and aerodynamic efficiency, the Forza 350’s sharp design lines give a clean, smooth modernity, creating an impression of energetic sportiness and premium desirability.

Two full-face helmets can be stored under the seat, and it’s also possible to partition the storage area to house a helmet and/or rain gear and A4 sized bags – there is also a handy internal light. The front left inner fairing pocket is lockable, and its internal space can be arranged for the rider’s convenience to hold a phone and water bottle, for instance. It also houses a USB-C socket. All lighting is premium LED.

The five-inch full colour TFT screen (with redesigned exterior decoration) uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced, and backlight transmittance improved. IOS/Android smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync is also an upgrade.

This feature – alongside a simple, easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar – allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music. All an owner has to do is download the Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the Forza 350, and go.

The Forza 350’s Smart Key – as well as controlling the main ignition switch knob and compartment locking – also manages the optional 45L Smart top box. With the Smart Key in the rider’s pocket the box is unlocked, and automatically locks when the rider walks away. It can also be locked from the key. To maintain the internal volume of the box the actuator mechanism is in the rear body of the machine.

The rear indicators of the Forza 350 have autocancelling Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) technology. Once the ABS modulator detects sudden braking, the rear indicators flash at high speed to warn other vehicles.

3.2 Engine

  • 330cc engine puts out 21.5Kw peak power with 31.5Nm torque
  • enhanced Smart Power+ (eSP+) technology ensures fuel economy of 30km/l (WMTC mode)

The Forza 350’s eSP+ engine achieves both high environmental performance and strong output characteristic through comprehensive adoption of technologies for friction reduction.

Liquid-cooled the 330cc, fuel injected SOHC fourvalve unit produces peak power of 21.5kW @ 7,500rpm, with maximum torque of 31.5Nm @ 5,250rpm. Top speed is 137km/h and, from a standing start, the Forza 350 will cover 200m in 10.4s.

Bore is set at 77mm with stroke of 70.7mm; compression ratio is set at 10.5:1. Rollertype rocker arm, plain journal crank bearings and sealed crankcases deliver long-term reliability together with strong performance. To enhance piston cooling, an oil jet, as used on the CRF450R, sprays oil right to the back of the piston, advancing ignition timing and improving combustion performance. Oil capacity is 1.8 litres.

Air is supplied via a 5.5 litre airbox which feeds a 36mm throttle body. The intake port draws air efficiently, utilising a ‘tumble’ flow within the cylinder for more consistent fuel combustion. Exhaust gases are expelled via a straight exhaust port and, to reduce exhaust gas resistance, the muffler consists of two distinct chambers.

Internal friction is reduced through a 5mm offset cylinder, a hydraulic cam chain adjuster and the use of a scavenger pump. Used on high performance machines, the pump lowers the internal pressure within the engine, reduces oil agitation and decreases pumping losses and internal rotational friction. A balancer shaft further reduces vibration and contributes to a smooth enjoyable ride.

An automatic centrifugal clutch works a VMatic transmission (with ratios set for fast low speed reaction and smart acceleration) and belt final drive. The Forza 350’s engine is equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). The system detects any difference between the front and rear wheel speeds, calculates the slip ratio and then controls engine torque via the fuel injection to regain rear wheel traction. HSTC can be switched ON/ OFF via a switch on the left handlebar. A ‘T’ indicator in the digital display flickers when the system is working to manage grip.

25YM updates saw revisions to ECU settings and the muffler’s internal structure, whilst the catalyser was upgraded and an SO2 sensor added to ensure Euro 5+ compliance. Fuel economy is a frugal 30km/l (WMTC mode); the 11.7L tank capacity gives a potential 340km+ range.

3.3 Chassis

  • Short wheelbase with sharp steering geometry
  • Compact body dimensions paired with practical seat height
  • Both wheels cast aluminium; 14-inch diameter rear and 15inch front

A sturdy, yet lightweight, tubular steel frame is at the heart of the Forza 350’s reassuring feel on the road. Wheelbase is set at 1510mm, with rake at 26.5° and trail 89mm. The radiator is in front of the fuel tank for better cooling performance, and the battery is found between the fuel tank and the under-seat storage area, focusing mass to the centre. Wet weight is 186kg.

Seat height is 780mm and the riding position naturally upright, promoting excellent all round visibility. Handlebar width is 754mm, with front width of 580mm and mirror width of 860mm; compact dimensions that make slipping through traffic heavy streets easy.

Rigid 33mm telescopic forks are matched by twin rear shock absorbers – adjustable through sevenstage spring preload – working through onepiece aluminium swingarm.

The cast aluminium 15-inch front wheel is fitted with a 120/7015 tyre while the 14-inch rear wears a 140/7014, offering maximum traction and ride comfort. A 256mm single disc performs stopping duties up front, mated to a 240mm rear, with the benefit of twochannel ABS for braking control on slippery surfaces.

1. Introduction

Honda’s Forza 125 was designed specifically for discerning European customers who demand the very most out of their scooter in every respect. And straight out of the crate the Forza 125 hit the ground rolling, proving an instant sales hit thanks to its comprehensive mix of sporty and ‘GT’ elements wrapped up in a distinctive design package. Evolving over its ten years in response to owner feedback, through September 2025 it has now sold over 140,000 units to date.

The reasons for its enduring popularity are several: a lively four-valve version of Honda’s eSP (‘enhanced Smart Power’) engine, compact dimensions, sports-oriented attitude and handling ability provides traffic-busting agility around town, while its sit-in comfort, wind protection and strong top end power make easy work of longer-range highway commuting. Add in plenty of storage, premium features front to back, a sharp-edged design aesthetic and Honda build quality from Honda Italia Industriale in Atessa, and the overall package is truly compelling.

Fittingly, it’s never stood still. In 18YM – maintaining its steep development curve – the Forza 125 received a complete, sporty re-style and rider-focused upgrades including full LED lighting and electric screen. 21YM brought cosmetic and aerodynamic updates, 40mm extra screen travel and a USB-C socket instead of ACC charging point. 23YM saw the Forza 125 move on again with a sleek new redesign.

25YM brought some practical updates to bolster practicality for owners. Brand-new contemporary colours for 26YM and a new Special Edition paint scheme cement the Forza 125’s position as the sports GT scooter.

2. Model Overview

Led by chiselled dual LED headlights the Forza 125 takes its styling cues directly from the range-topping Forza 750, adopting an elegantly sophisticated look. The defined, shapely fairing is topped by an electric screen that adjusts through 180mm travel to maximise freedom or wind protection.

For 25YM, a new five-inch TFT screen brought intuitive control and clarity in bright light, and easy Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity. Practicality was added in the form of a USB-C socket in the glovebox, which provides convenient charging, whilst the illuminated under-seat storage compartment has room for two fullface helmets.

The sure-footed chassis – comprising tubular steel frame, 33mm telescopic forks, twin rear shock absorbers and 15/14-inch front/rear wheel combination – delivers nimble handling with confidence.

Developing 10.7kW and 12.3Nm, the eSP+ 125cc engine is a lively performer. It’s also Euro 5+ compliant, whilst Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) maintains rear tyre grip.

The 26YM Forza 125 will be available in the following colour options:

  • *NEW* – Pearl Cool White
  • Mat Cynos Gray Metallic
  • Pearl Falcon Gray
  • Mat Pearl Pacific Blue

A Forza 125 Special Edition will be available in a *NEW* Pearl Nightstar with bronze wheels & exclusive graphics.

3. Key Features
    3.1 Styling & Equipment

  • Electric screen adjusts through 180mm
  • Five-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and easy-to-use switchgear
  • Smart Key operation of ignition, seat, fuel cap cover and (optional) 45litre Smart Top box
  • Emergency Stop Signal function (ESS) warns other road users of sudden braking

Sculpted for both style and aerodynamic efficiency – with design influence direct from the family flagship Forza 750 – the Forza 125’s elegant, front fairing creates an impression of energetic sportiness and premium desirability. The LED headlights, also inspired by those on the Forza 750, form a major part of the unmistakable Forza face with clean and simple design lines underlining the premium appeal.

Handlebar width is 750mm with mirror height of 1125mm; the perfect dimensions for slipping through congested city streets. Seat height is set at 780mm; there’s plenty of room for two and the riding position cups securely.

The electric screen (controlled by a switch on the left handlebar) adjusts through 180mm. It’s designed to provide wind protection, with airflow directed around and over the rider’s head, and reduce wind noise. Stability and comfort at higher speeds – and long distances – can be instantly exchanged for a greater sense of freedom around town, by lowering the screen. For comfort at higher speeds a larger front air duct manages negative pressure in front of the rider, reducing the natural effect of the wind pushing the rider back.

The five-inch full colour TFT screen uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced, and backlight transmittance improved. The unit offers IOS/Android smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync.

This feature – operated through the simple, easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar – allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music. All an owner has to do is download the Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the Forza 125, and go.

Two full-face helmets can be stored in the illuminated under seat area, which can be partitioned to house a helmet and rain gear or A4-sized bags. The front left inner fairing pocket is lockable, and its internal space can be arranged for the rider’s convenience to hold a phone and water bottle, for instance, and integrates a USB-C socket.

The Forza 125’s Smart Key – as well as controlling the main ignition switch knob and compartment locking – also manages the optional 45L Smart top box. With the Smart Key in the rider’s pocket the box is unlocked, and automatically locks when the rider walks away. It can also be locked from the key. To maintain the internal volume of the box the actuator mechanism is located in the rear body of the machine.

3.2 Engine

  • 125cc engine produces 10.7kW peak power with 12.3Nm torque
  • Fuel-efficient unit uses Honda’s eSP technologies, plus Idling Stop
  • 41.7km/l gives range of nearly 500km between fill-ups
  • Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) increases rider confidence

The enhanced Smart Power+ (eSP+) four-valve, water-cooled SOHC powerplant delivers 10.7kW @ 8,750rpm, with peak torque of 12.3Nm @ 6,500rpm. Bore and stroke is set at 53.5 x 55.5mm with compression ratio of 11.5:1.

From a standing start the Forza 125 accelerates rapidly (0-200m covered in just 13.3s) while sharp mid-range makes for responsive roll-on performance in the typical 40-60km/h around-town speed range. It will cruise happily around 90km/h and V-max is 108km/h.

Honda’s eSP+ low-friction technologies are found throughout the engine. A compact combustion chamber and PGM-FI fuel injection – fed by 4.7-litre airbox and 26mm diameter inlet duct – optimise combustion velocity and cooling performance. Clever packaging of items like the oil pump (which is built into the crankcase) help to further heighten the efficiency.

An offset cylinder reduces friction caused by contact between piston and bore, efficiently transmitting combustion energy to the crankshaft. A ‘spiny’ cast-iron sleeve – with tiny surface extensions – keeps in check any distortion of the inner bore diameter. This design lowers tension in the piston ring, reducing friction.

A high-efficiency radiator – integrated into the exterior of the right-side crankcase – employs a small, light fan that reduces frictional losses and lowers drag. Rolling resistance within the transmission unit is reduced by the use of three low-friction main bearings, all designed to deal with the loads they individually receive. The drive pulley features a fin design that lowers air resistance, and the follower pulley reduces pressure on the drive belt, cutting transmission losses.

The electronically controlled, brushless ACG starter is an integrated component mounted directly on the end of the crankshaft, serving as starter motor and alternator. It spins the engine directly, eliminating any noise from gear engagement or meshing.

Idling Stop automatically stops the engine running after three seconds at idle when the Forza is stationary, and the brakes applied and re-starts it instantly when the throttle grip is twisted. It’s seamless in use thanks to ACG and the swing-back system that returns the crank to its position before air intake, and a decompression mechanism that negates cranking resistance from compression. It has the functionality to ‘read’ the battery charge and turns itself off to avoid excessive drain.

One of the original aims of the Forza 125 is that the trip to the fuel station should happen just once a week for the average user, and a near 500km tank range is possible thanks to the engine’s fuel efficiency of approximately 41.7km/l (WMTC mode) and 11.7litre tank.

Alongside 25YM updates to the ECU settings, the muffler’s internal structure was revised and an additional SO2 sensor added to ensure Euro 5+ compliance.

3.3 Chassis

  • Tubular steel frame, 33mm telescopic forks and preload adjustable twin shocks
  • Wet weight of just 164kg aids agility and ease of use
  • Cast aluminium wheels, front and rear disc brakes, ABS fitted as standard

The tubular steel frame that underpins the Forza 125’s chassis provides the necessary rigidity and strength for the broad variety of riding conditions it will face. Sturdy 33mm telescopic forks are matched by twin rear shock absorbers – adjustable through five-stage spring preload – working through a one-piece aluminium swingarm.

The Forza 125’s light weight, just 164kg, makes it easy to manage at walking speeds, and easy to park. A wheelbase of 1,505mm provides stability; the steering geometry – 26.5° rake and 89mm trail – delivers nimble steering.

The cast aluminium 15-inch front wheel is fitted with a 120/70-15 tyre while the 14-inch rear wears a 140/70-14 tyre, offering maximum traction and ride comfort. A large 256mm single disc performs stopping duties up front, mated to a 240mm rear, with the benefit of ABS for extra braking control on slippery surfaces.

Revised colour options for the CMX1100 Rebel custom trio ensure it continues to go from strength to strength

  • New colour palettes and options keep style fresh across the range
  • Three model grades offer three variations on the Rebel theme

Forming part of its comprehensive 26-year model line-up refresh, Honda has announced revised paint options to its large capacity CMX1100 Rebel – one of Europe’s best-selling custom bikes. The CMX family (500 and 1100cc variants) currently occupy two of the top three sales positions in Europe in the custom category, and have a combined 17% market share in the segment.

The CMX1100 Rebel and CMX1100 Rebel T, which joined Honda’s line-up as a 21-year model, underwent a comprehensive model update for 25YM, receiving a number of upgrades to engine performance, comfort, riding ergonomics and technology.

The range also grew with a new addition in the shape of the CMX1100SE Rebel – a ‘ready-to-go’ Special Edition factory custom packed with street character thanks to the addition of a bar-end mirrors, colour-matched nose cowl, specially designed fork leg gaiters, and a short, sporty front mudguard from the Genuine Honda Accessories range.

All three grades retain the proven, characterful 1,084cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, and are optionable with Honda’s unique dual clutch transmission (DCT). Standard spec remains comprehensive and includes throttle by wire, selectable rider modes, five-inch colour TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, HSTC and much more.

To emphasise the unique character of each model, Honda has revised the colour options for 2026. As a result, the 26YM CMX1100 Rebel will be available in:

1. Introduction

Honda’s A2 licence-friendly 500cc twin-cylinder CMX500 Rebel, released in 17YM, fused tradition with ground-breaking new ideas to capture younger riders for whom a motorcycle is so much more than just transport; riders for whom their motorcycle is a lifestyle, an attitude, an expression of individual identity.

The Rebel’s combination of timeless ‘bobber’ style and unique, forward-looking, contemporary detailing earned it immediate popularity in its first sales season. And it has been far from a one-year wonder: In 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, the CMX500 Rebel was the best-selling custom style machine in Europe. Accessible, easy to ride and live with, by going its own way the Rebel proved an accomplished success in standard trim. And, as a blank canvas for customisation, it has been a machine more than ready for whatever its owner’s imagination has had in store for it.

For 21YM, where the CMX500 Rebel led, a new motorcycle followed: the CMX1100 Rebel. It took the essence of what made the smaller bike so special and added more performance, more character, and a wealth of Honda’s most advanced technology.

Armed with all the above, the CMX1100 Rebel offered a step up – or across from a different segment altogether – for a wide range of riders looking for something that bit different. In 23YM, the family expanded once again with the introduction of the CMX1100T Rebel, a dedicated Touring version ready to answer the call of the open road.

For 25YM the big Rebel built on the blocks of continued success and receives a host of upgrades to engine performance, comfort, riding ergonomics and technology. The range also grew with the introduction of the CMX1100SE Rebel – an ‘out of the box’ Special Edition factory custom laden with street character thanks to Genuine Honda Accessories.

26YM sees a overhaul of the colour options to ensure that, in whichever variant, the CMX1100 Rebel’s combination of performance, specification and accessibility will continue to resonate with riders across Europe.

2. Model Overview

The CMX1100 Rebel has a dual personality. It’s been designed for a leisurely laidback cruise, but also to offer an exciting riding experience when a twisty road presents itself. Riders moving up from smaller bikes will appreciate the manageable dimensions and weight while more experienced riders will find instant, accessible enjoyment from the chassis’ handling potential, thanks to its stiff tubular steel frame, quality naked bike-spec suspension and high-powered braking.

A more relaxed riding position was key to the major 25YM update: the handlebars were moved rearward and upward, the footpegs forward and the seat made 10mm thicker with overall seat height a very manageable 710mm.

Also for 25YM, the 1,084cc parallel twin-cylinder engine (as used by the CRF1100L Africa Twin) was re-tuned with a higher compression ratio to give even stronger low- and mid-range punch, and characterful delivery plus an enhanced, evocative exhaust note.

Throttle By Wire (TBW) management brought with it sophisticated rider aids: there are three default riding modes and two user defined options that allows control over a number of different parameters to suit riding conditions or rider mood, including engine power delivery, engine braking, the level of Honda Selectable Torque Control (with integrated Wheelie Control), and the shift schedule of the optional Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), which is itself updated for smoother low-speed response.

As a 21st century bobber, the big Rebel’s stripped-back style speaks volumes with its minimalism. Steel mudguards front and rear sit atop fat tyres; the circular headlight mixes old school looks with new school LED technology. Honda’s proven five-inch TFT display is also standard, and features customisable screens and the smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync. It also houses a USB-C socket on the left of the unit.

The 26YM CMX1100 Rebel will be available in:

  • **NEW** Mat Beta Silver Metallic
  • Mat Ballistic Black Metallic

The 26YM CMX1100T SE Rebel will be available in the following colour options:

  • **NEW** Pearl Deep Mud Gray
  • Mat Ballistic Black Metallic

And rounding out the range, the 26YM CMX1100T Rebel will continue to be offered in the sole colour option of Iridium Gray Metallic.

3.1 Styling & Equipment

The CMX1100 Rebel offers a simple, raw and ‘unprocessed’ look created by the same US-based Honda R&D studio that laid down the style of the CMX500 Rebel. Long and low, with narrow body crowned by the sculpted 13.6L flangeless fuel tank, its minimalist presence has real depth, with proportions that are complemented naturally with a rider on board.

Both front and rear mudguards are drawn from 1mm-thick steel and mounted on die-cast aluminium brackets. The low set 175mm diameter headlight has a classic form but houses four LED bulbs with thick inner lenses for a well-defined frontal signature. The small 55mm circular indicators, too, have classic looks but the oval, clear-lensed LED taillight strikes a contemporary note and chimes with other Rebel details.

Relaying key info to the rider is Honda’s proven five-inch full colour TFT screen which uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced, and backlight transmittance improved. It’s customisable between Bar, Circle and Simple display patterns and offers the IOS/Android smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync.

This feature is operated via an easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar that allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music using Honda RoadSync. All an owner has to do is download the Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the CMX1100 Rebel, and go. Relocating from under the seat the USB-C port is now sited on the left side of the display for convenience and ease of connection.

The Rebel rider can go solo or carry a passenger (the rear seat pad quickly and easily unbolts) and under the seat there’s a handy 3L storage compartment. The ignition key locates on the left side of the frame and opens the seat without having to be removed from the ignition. For long highway days, cruise control is fitted as standard.

The CMX1100T Rebel is designed for the rider that wants all the potential the standard bike offers, but also the ability to cover larger distances with even greater in-built comfort and useful carrying capacity. The fork-mounted half-fairing, available only on the CMX1100T Rebel, is both stylishly evocative and – with its bespoke stubby screen – offers good wind deflection. Hard rear panniers with hinged top lids blend in perfectly and offer a full 35 litres carrying capacity (right 16L, left 19L), an additional 11 litres compared to the nylon accessory saddle bags.

25YM saw the introduction of the CMX1100SE Rebel. It’s the first factory Honda (apart from the legendary RC213V-S) to wear bar-end mirrors; these are a stylish, aluminium-cut, anti-glare design. Other factory-fit accessories include colour matched nose cowl, specially designed fork leg gaiters and short, sporty front mudguard. A diamond-stitch seat adds style and extra comfort while an anodised radiator cover marks out the SE difference.

3.2 Engine

  • Bespoke compression ratio delivers powerful, torquey response with enhanced ‘pulse’ feel
  • Rebel-specific valve timing and heavy mass flywheel
  • Exhaust tuned for engaging character

The CMX1100 Rebel’s 1,084cc SOHC 8-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine is derived from that of the CRF1100 Africa Twin which, for 24YM received a major (and very noticeable) boost in low- and mid-range torque with no loss of peak power.

For 25YM, the CMX1100 Rebel received the same upgrades as the CRF giving a sporting edge to its cruising abilities. Bore remained at 92mm with 81.5mm stroke; compression ratio was revised to 10.5:1 (from 10.1:1) so the engine now produces 65kW @ 7,250rpm. But for a bike like this it’s all about torque and with peak output of 98Nm @ 4,750rpm – response is strong, from the bottom of the rev range all the way up.

Honda engineers have further tailored the powerful, characterful engine to the CMX1100 Rebel through the use of a model-specific camshaft and flywheel, which help emphasise the natural pulses of the engine.

A 270° phased crankshaft and uneven firing interval ensure character. But unique to the big Rebel a heavy mass flywheel and dedicated valve timing/lift generate an even stronger ‘pulse’ feel, alongside the exhaust design. And, in keeping with the Rebel’s dual personality, the engine pulse changes from one that responds harmoniously at low revs to all throttle inputs, to a more boisterous, sensation-heightening ‘throb’ as rpm rises.

Engine management is via Throttle-By-Wire (TBW) and PGM-FI. Adding to riding satisfaction is the exhaust note, which was tuned to deliver a deep, low-frequency sound pulse through the 5.3L oval-section muffler below 4,000rpm married to a powerful, high-frequency note as rpm climbs.

Compact dimensions (thanks to the Unicam drive train and semi-dry sump crankcase) centralise mass neatly, make for a low centre of gravity with maximum ground clearance when coupled with the Rebel’s low-slung frame design.

The crankcases split horizontally, and the water pump is housed within the clutch casing with a thermostat integrated into the cylinder head; both six-speed manual and DCT versions of the engine share common crankcases with only minor external differences. Secondary vibrations are neutralised by the mutually reciprocating motion of the pistons, while primary inertial and coupling vibrations are cancelled by use of biaxial balance shafts. The water and oil pumps are driven by the balancer shafts.

A crank pulsar – with relator teeth spaced at 10° intervals – manages misfire detection and an OBD2-2 sensor ensures stringent emissions compliance. In addition, Linear Air Flow (LAF) sensors in the downpipes give accurate measurement of the air/fuel mixture ratio.

3.3 Engine Electronics

  • Throttle By Wire (TBW) control
  • Three default riding modes to choose from optimised to new engine character, plus two USER defined modes
  • 3-level Honda Selectable Torque Control refined for 25YM

TBW manages engine performance and character, plus the level of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) with integrated Wheelie Control. There are three pre-set modes for the rider to choose covering a wide variety of riding conditions; all rider aids have been revised for the new engine output and character. Mode selection is managed from the left-hand switchgear; an indicator in the instrument display activates when HSTC is working.

  • STANDARD offers a middle setting for engine power delivery (P) engine braking (EB) and HSTC, delivering a relaxed ride at low rpm and speeds, while unleashing much more of the Rebel’s potential as the revs rise.
  • RAIN transmits low P delivery and EB, matched to high HSTC, for relaxed riding and extra reassurance on wet or slippery surfaces.
  • SPORT gives aggressive P and standard EB, with low HSTC intervention to allow maximum performance.

Two USER modes offer the ability to customise between the settings for the preferred combination. Once set, the USER settings are automatically stored so there’s no need to re-set each time the ignition is turned on.

3.4 Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT)

  • Refined for 25YM with smoother starting, stopping and low-speed U-turns
  • Three default D mode (automatic) shifting schedules mirror the riding modes
  • USER mode offers customisation

Honda has sold over 280,000 DCT-equipped motorcycles across Europe since the system first appeared as an option on the VFR1200F in 2010. For the CMX1100 Rebel, since its introduction 57% of owners have chosen the DCT option.

As part of the 25YM update, two DCT upgrades were the target for Honda’s development engineers. First, smoother starting from standstill and control at low speed – under 10km/h – for U-turns etc. This requires a ‘quick yet gentle’ driving force at small throttle openings.

Surpassing the operating parameters of the previous generation DCT the new technology applied estimates the oil pressure of the clutch piston chamber and completely reviews the way feedback gain is applied – rather than just relying on an oil pressure sensor upstream of the clutch piston – resulting in improved, more delicate clutch response. Alongside the way TBW now opens from closed DCT also features a dedicated setting for extremely low speed running.

DCT delivers consistent, seamless gear changes and very quickly becomes second nature in use. It uses two clutches: one for start-up and 1st, 3rd and 5th, the other for 2nd, 4th and 6th, with the mainshaft for each clutch located inside the other for compact packaging.

Each clutch is independently controlled by its own electro-hydraulic circuit. When a gear change occurs, the system pre-selects the target gear using the clutch not currently in use. The first clutch is then electronically disengaged as, simultaneously, the second clutch engages.

The result is a consistent, fast and seamless gear change. Furthermore, as the twin clutches transfer drive from one gear to the next with minimal interruption of the drive to the rear wheel, any gear change shock and pitching of the machine is minimised, making the change feel direct as well as smooth. Extra benefits include durability (as the gears cannot be damaged by missing a gear) impossibility of stalling, low stress urban riding, reduced rider fatigue and extra ‘brain space’ to concentrate on pure riding aspects such as riding line, cornering, braking and acceleration points.

The DCT system offers two distinct riding approaches; the Automatic settings, with pre-programmed shift patterns which constantly read vehicle speed, gear selected and engine rpm to decide when a shift should occur, and the Manual Transmission setting for gear changes using the paddle-shift style triggers on the left handlebar.

Through TBW control, the DCT shift patterns are linked with the three riding modes.

  • In STANDARD riding mode, the DCT shift pattern offers a balance between high-gear, low-speed cruising and low-gear, full-throttle excitement.
  • RAIN selects higher gears more quickly for a super-smooth ride.
  • SPORT delivers higher-rpm and lower gears, holds onto revs for longer before upshifts, and downshifting at higher rpms for more engine braking effect.

The USER option also allows the rider to adopt any of the three DCT shift patterns in any riding mode according to preference.

3.5 Chassis

  • Signature tubular steel frame underpins Rebel styling
  • 25YM riding position introduced a roomier and more relaxed position for taller riders thanks to revised handlebar and footpeg placement
  • Steering geometry provides stability with easy handling characteristics
  • 43mm cartridge-style front forks and piggyback rear shocks, both spring preload adjustable
  • Radial mount four-piston front brake caliper and 330mm floating disc
  • 130/70B18, 180/65B16 front and rear tyres

A styling statement in itself, the CMX1100 Rebel’s tubular steel frame is based around the raw and simple design of its sibling and features the same defined ‘theme’ line running diagonally front to back, with the fuel tank playing its part sat above the 35mm diameter main tubes which, naturally, are larger than the CMX500 Rebel’s. The 50.8mm diameter swingarm, too has an ‘engineered’ look to match.

25YM revisions to the chassis were drawn from owner feedback to improve the riding position; the handlebars moved 28mm rearward toward the rider, and up 12mm with the footpegs also moved 50mm forward. In conjunction the seat – constructed with a new high-grade urethane foam – was made 10mm thicker and slightly wider without impacting ground reach (seat height remained a very manageable 710mm, up from 700mm). All these changes combine to make the riding position roomier and more relaxed.

Wheelbase is 1,520mm; the forks have a 30° angle for cruiser style, 2° offset from the 28° ‘rake’ line itself; trail is 110mm. This combination delivers the right look, but also straight-line stability and accurate, easy handling. Kerb weight is set at 226kg with manual transmission, and 236kg for the DCT-equipped option. The CMX1100T Rebel weighs in at 240kg as a manual and 250kg in DCT form, and the CMX1100SE Rebel 237kg.

The overall geometry allows generous lean angles of 34.4° each side (as measured by Honda test engineers), meaning the CMX1100 Rebel can enjoy an engaging twisty back road ride and clip apexes with the best of them.

Cartridge-style front forks feature blacked-out two-piece lowers (manufactured from both extruded and die-cast aluminium) mated to 43mm stanchions finished in a dark navy titanium oxide coating. Twin rear shocks feature a 12.5mm rod and pressurised ‘piggyback’ reservoir. Both front and rear suspension are adjustable for spring preload.

Braking power is served up by a front radial-mount monoblock four-piston caliper biting a 330mm floating disc and at the rear, a single piston caliper grabs a 256mm disc, both managed by ABS. Cast aluminium wheels feature five sporty Y-shaped spokes and wear fat sidewalled tyres; a 180/65B16 rear and 130/70B18 front, for a purposeful stance in profile or in three quarter.

4. Accessories

1. Introduction

Honda has always thrived on exploring new boundaries – in design as well as engineering. In 18YM, the CB1000R, CB300R and CB125R brought a fresh identity to its naked motorcycle line-up, mixing café racer inspirations with a forward-looking ultra-minimalist look under the ‘Neo Sports Café’ design theme.

In 19YM the CB650R joined the family and its combination of cool styling, exhilarating four-cylinder engine performance and light, versatile handling ensured immediate sales success. Building on the momentum, for 21YM it received a major front suspension upgrade, plus a range of detail improvements to enhance comfort, usability and practicality.

24YM was an important year for the CB650R with it gaining updates to its style and functionality as well as becoming the first Honda motorcycles to be made available with Honda E-Clutch technology, which is designed to make motorcycling, from beginner right through to expert, even more enjoyable – and even more exciting.

For 26YM, a revised colour palette with contemporary options keeps the CB650R fresh.

Valerio Aiello, of Honda’s Rome R&D Department on the Neo Sports Café design aesthetic:

“The entire current Neo Sport Café range from Honda is the result of the CB4 Concept model presented at EICMA in 2015. Our desire was to explore the world of the café racer and reinterpret it in a modern key. We wanted to create neo-classics – that is, modern motorcycles showcasing classic design styles combined with modern techniques.

I used inspiration from outside the world of motorcycles, in watches. I’ve always liked their technicality and one of the key concepts used during the Neo Sports Café design was 'Mechanical Art'. This is the desire to show the beauty of the various mechanical elements to which Honda has always given great importance.”

2. Model Overview

24YM introduced a fresh look to the CB650R’s retro minimalism. The redesign comprised a new headlight, radiator shrouds, rider/pillion seat, tail unit and taillight to inject a more dynamic energy, while the fuel tank remained a strong presence above the beautiful inline four-cylinder engine.

The new look was supplemented by a new five-inch full colour TFT screen, designed for readability on bright days and featuring Honda RoadSync connectivity and operated by a new, easy-to-use 4-way lefthand backlit toggle switch to control on-screen, turn-by-turn navigation and other smartphone features.

Performance remains unchanged for 26YM: 70kw peak power with 63Nm are fun figures for a naked bike, and the classic in-line 4 cylinder ‘pick-up’ and high-revving top end power are longstanding Honda calling cards. A 35kW option is available for A2 licence holders.

Available as an option on the CB650R, the new Honda E-Clutch takes away the need for the rider to use the clutch lever to make a shift either up or down the gearbox.

The chassis also remains unchanged and a perfect package from city block to twisting back road. A steel diamond frame provides core rigidity while 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD front forks and Showa rear shock deliver high-quality suspension control. Four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers work 310mm floating discs and cast aluminium wheels mount 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres.

The 26YM CB650R will be available in the following colour options:

  • **NEW** Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic with Graphite Black Metallic details
  • **NEW** Mat Jeans Blue Metallic with Graphite Black Metallic details
  • **NEW** Candy Energy Orange with Graphite Black Metallic details
  • **NEW** Grand Prix Red with Graphite Black Metallic details

3. Key Features
     3.1 Styling & Equipment

  • Neo Sports Café styling cuts an impressive shape in urban environments
  • 5-inch full colour TFT screen includes Honda RoadSync connectivity for on-screen turn-by-turn navigation and access to other smartphone functions
  • Simple to use left hand switchgear backlit for night-time use
  • LED lighting all round for increased visibility

Tightly wrapped, the CB650R’s Neo Sports Café style received an evolution for 24YM, which featured the introduction of a new signature compact ‘Trapezoid’ proportions; a new, sharper tail and short-overhang and new slanted LED headlight, with all other lighting being LED.

From the front, via the radiator shrouds backwards, the overall look is sinuous, dynamic and with keen sense of purpose. The long fuel tank is a key motif of the family design; its smooth lines accentuate the solidity of real metal surfaces and crown the engineering of the four-cylinder powerplant. It also houses the ignition. A 35° handlebar angle makes tight, slow-speed turns and U-turns straightforward.

The shape of the pillion and rider seats were also revised for 24YM to match the new tail; seat height is 810mm. There’s a USB Type-C socket located under the seat.

The CB650R packs premium technology in the form of a five-inch full colour TFT screen that uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. The display itself is customisable between ‘Bar’, ‘Circle’ and ‘Simple’ display patterns and also offers smartphone connectivity via Honda RoadSync.

Honda RoadSync – operated via an easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar – allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls, listen to music or receive voice feedback of weather conditions. All an owner has to do is download the free Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the CB650R, and go.

3.2 Chassis

  • 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks
  • Four-piston, radial-mount front brake calipers and floating discs
  • 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres

The steel diamond frame uses pressed swingarm pivot plates and twin elliptical spars with a rigidity balance specifically tuned (stiffer around the headstock and more flexible in the spar sections) to deliver excellent all-round handling characteristics with high levels of rider feedback. Rake is set at 25.5° with trail of 100mm and wheelbase of 1,450mm. Kerb weight is 205kg (207kg E-Clutch).

Showa’s 41mm Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks offer high-quality reaction. A pressure separation damper in one fork tube and spring mechanism in the other deliver high damping performance and lighter weight. Together with the use of a larger sized piston, the result is increased feel, bump absorption and control. Adjustable for 10-stage spring preload, the single-tube monoshock operates directly on the curvaceous gravity die-cast aluminium swingarm.

Four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers work 310mm floating discs, and are paired with a single-piston rear caliper and 240mm disc. The ABS is a two-channel system.

Cast aluminium wheels mount 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres.

3.3 Engine

  • 70kW peak power with 63Nm peak torque
  • 35kW A2 licence option available
  • Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)

The proven 649cc, DOHC 16-valve engine is tuned to create the purest, most enjoyable mid-sized four-cylinder performance possible, with the classically fast ‘pick-up’ through the rev range and hard-hitting, high-revving top end for which Honda’s in-line fours are renowned. Peak power of 70kW arrives @ 12,000rpm with peak torque @ 63Nm delivered at 9,500 rpm. A 35kW option is available for A2 licence holders.

Direct cam actuation makes for a compact cylinder head; bore and stroke is set at 67mm x 46mm with compression ratio raised of 11.6:1. Iridium spark plugs are employed and twin air ducts – either side of the fuel tank – feed the airbox and produce a throaty intake roar.

Asymmetric piston skirts minimise bore contact and reduce friction. Ferrous spines on the outer surface of the cylinder sleeves reduce oil consumption (and friction) with improved heat transfer and a silent SV cam chain reduces frictional losses by using a Vanadium coating on its pins. Internal water channelling from cylinder head to cylinders does away with most of the exterior hoses.

The engine uses a compact internal architecture, stacked six-speed gearbox and starter layout with the cylinders canted forward 30°. An assist/slipper clutch eases upshifts while managing rear-wheel lock up under hard braking and rapid downshifts. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) manages rear wheel traction; it can be turned off should the rider choose.

Fuel consumption of 20.4km/l (WMTC mode) gives a range of over 300km from the 15.4L fuel tank. EURO5 compliant, environmental efficiency has been updated with revisions to the ECU and catalyser, as well as the addition of an OBD2-2 sensor.

4. Honda E-Clutch

  • Pioneering technology allows the rider to start, stop and change gear without using the clutch lever – just the shift pedal
  • Available as an option from new; system adds 2kg to kerb weight
  • Honda E-Clutch also allows normal operation of the clutch lever
  • Brings more enjoyment and flexibility across a wide range of scenarios, for a ‘next level’ riding experience

Honda E-Clutch takes elements of the technology and performance of quickshifters, manually-operated clutches and Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission technology to create a unique blend of these well-proven approaches, opening up a whole new aspect of the motorcycling experience for riders of every type and experience level. The clutch and transmission hardware themselves are no different from a conventional motorcycle, with the ultra-compact system weighing only 2 kilograms.

In operation, Honda E-clutch is simplicity itself, taking away the need to use the clutch lever to make a shift either up or down the gearbox. The rider simply has to operate the shift pedal for ultra-fast, consistent gear changes, bringing extra enjoyment to sporty riding. The clutch lever is also not needed when pulling away or coming to a stop. Becoming active as soon as the engine is switched on, the system manages both scenarios smoothly, while taking away the possibility of the engine stalling when in operation, providing extra convenience and peace of mind to town riding involving frequent starts and stops.

In addition to enjoyment and convenience, Honda E-Clutch brings ultimate flexibility. Should the rider wish, they are able to operate the clutch lever as normal at any time. When the clutch lever is used, the Honda E-clutch system will re-activate after less than a second above a certain engine rpm; after 5 seconds at lower engine speeds. Should the rider wish to turn off the system for a particular ride, this is also possible via the switchgear on the left handlebar. The change to manual operation is indicated by a letter ‘M’ on the instrument panel.

The Honda E-Clutch also allows the rider to select an ‘operation feel’ to set the strength of the force required on the shift pedal to make a gear change. Three settings are available: HARD, MEDIUM, and SOFT, each of which can be chosen independently for upshifting and downshifting. The technology will also advise the rider to shift down – via a symbol on the instrument panel – if it detects the motorcycle is in a high gear at a certain speed.

The Honda E-Clutch manages clutch engagement and disengagement based on its reading of parameters including vehicle speed, throttle opening angle, engine rpm, pressure on the shift pedal, clutch motor reduction gear angle, engine countershaft speed and gear position. The clutch is operated through an actuator unit with two motors situated inside the right hand engine cover. As the clutch is engaged or disengaged, the engine’s ignition timing and fuel injection are also controlled, resulting in smooth, shock-free shifting in any situation.

Junya Ono, Large Project Leader, Honda E-Clutch: “Our Honda E-Clutch is designed to offer motorcyclists a new kind of experience that can make their riding even more fun and exciting. It also adds peace of mind and comfort to town riding or the daily commute. We hope that many riders will try our new system to enjoy the unique mix of sportiness and flexibility it offers.”

1. Introduction

Honda’s fully faired CBR650F, launched in 2014 alongside the naked CB650F, provided a healthy slice of four-cylinder middleweight performance, very much at the sporty end of the ‘sports touring’ spectrum. Five years later, the CBR650F became the CBR650R, the upgrade from ‘F’ to ‘R’ indicating an even more potent shot of sporty ability designed to be explored, used and enjoyed on the street.

In the process of its transformation the CBR650R became, deliberately, a rare breed: a four-cylinder sports bike that provides similar pleasure, enjoyment and adrenaline to an RR machine, yet with enough practicality – and sensible running costs – to make it a viable option as day-to-day transport in addition to weekend fun.

It’s a direction that was well received. In 21YM, the CBR650R was the best-selling sports bike in Europe as it continued its development curve with user-driven detail improvements and a major upgrade for the front suspension. And those revisions resonated with customers, with the CBR650R retaining that top selling spot since 2021.

24YM was an important year for the CBR650R with it gaining style and functionality upgrades. It was this bike – alongside its naked sibling, the CB650R – that launched Honda’s pioneering Honda E-Clutch technology, designed to make motorcycling, from beginner right through to expert, even more enjoyable and exciting.

For 26YM, a revised colour palette introduces new contemporary hues to keeps the CBR650R fresh, at the top of the super sports market.

2. Model Overview

The CBR650R’s stylish lines were overhauled for 24YM, with a new headlight, fairing, rider/pillion seat, tail unit and taillight inject sharper sporting energy.

It also gained a five-inch full colour TFT screen, optically bonded for readability on bright days and featuring Honda RoadSync connectivity. Managed by an easy-to-use backlit four-way lefthand toggle switch riders can now enjoy on-screen, turn-by-turn navigation and other smartphone features.

Performance from the four-cylinder engine remained unchanged; 70kw peak power with 63Nm are fun figures to play with, and the classic in-line 4 cylinder ‘pick-up’ and high-revving top end power are longstanding Honda calling cards. A 35kW option is available for A2 licence holders.

24YM also saw the introduction of the optional Honda E-Clutch technology, a revolutionary take on transmissions, which removes the need for the rider to use the clutch lever to make a shift either up or down the gearbox.

A steel diamond frame provides core rigidity while 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD front forks and Showa rear shock deliver high-quality suspension control. Four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers work 310mm floating discs and cast aluminium wheels mount 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres.

The 26YM CBR650R will be available in two colour options:

  • **NEW** Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic with fluorescent yellow accent
  • Grand Prix Red Tricolour

3. Key Features
    3.1 Styling & Equipment

  • Sports styling has been shaped for speed, with sculpted surfaces
  • 5-inch full colour TFT screen includes Honda RoadSync connectivity and is operated through simple to use backlit left hand switchgear
  • All round LED lighting for increased visibility

With its four-cylinder power unit clearly on display, the CBR650R’s visuals are pure sporting appeal, shaped purely for speed. Led by dual LED headlights – which emit a penetrating stare – and muscular upper and lower fairings that feature slim lines and angles.

An aggressive riding position starts with clip-on handlebars that mount beneath the top yoke, matched to rear set footpegs. The new seat unit, too is even more compact and neatly truncates the rear of the machine, adding to the hard-edged sense of purpose. Trim side panels accentuate the minimalism, as does the steel rear mudguard/number plate mount.

Pillion and rider seat shaping has been revised to match the seat unit; seat height remains 810mm. There’s a USB Type-C socket located under the seat.

Premium technology comes in the form of a five-inch full colour TFT screen that uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced and backlight transmittance improved. It’s customisable between Bar, Circle and Simple display patterns and also offers the smartphone connectivity of Honda RoadSync.

Honda RoadSync functionality is operated through an easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar, which allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls, listen to music or receive voice feedback of weather conditions. All an owner has to do is download the free Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the CBR650R, and go.

Kerb weight is 209kg (E-Clutch 211kg).

Showa’s 41mm Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks offer high-quality reaction. A pressure separation damper in one fork tube and spring mechanism in the other deliver high damping performance and lighter weight. Together with the use of a larger sized piston the result is increased feel, bump absorption and control.

The proven 649cc, DOHC 16-valve engine is unchanged for 26YM. It’s tuned to create the purest, most enjoyable mid-sized four-cylinder performance possible, with the classically fast ‘pick-up’ through the rev range and hard-hitting, high-revving top end for which Honda’s in-line’s fours are renowned. Peak power of 70kW arrives @ 12,000rpm with peak torque @ 63Nm delivered at 9,500 rpm. A 35kW option is available for A2 licence holders.

Direct cam actuation makes for a compact cylinder head; bore and stroke is set at 67mm x 46mm with compression ratio of 11.6:1.

For Honda, the letters CB have a storied, 65-year history, going back to the original 1959 CB92 Benly. Introduced the same year as Honda began racing at the TT, the Benly was Honda’s ‘Super Sports Bike’ that brought clean styling, sporty ergonomics, an eager engine with a sonorous soundtrack and keen handling – a template that still holds true. Each generation of CB has defined an era of performance and, for 2026, there is a brand-new CB in the range.

The CB1000F takes inspiration from the CB750F of the 1980s – an advanced, iconic bike that powered Freddie Spencer through the closely-fought American AMA Championships – and wraps the pure fun of riding into an evocative, retro-cool (and supremely characterful) four-cylinder package. Built on the CB1000 Hornet platform – and wearing a next generation F designation – it adds premium equipment with a broader performance envelope to deliver wide-ranging pleasure, from urban to open roads.

Developed under the conceptual target of creating the ‘Best Balanced Roadster’ the CB1000F handles like a middleweight but with big bike feel. And, with the ‘80s now proving such an influential decade on clothing, music, style, and more, the CB1000F is very much a bike ready for today.

2. Model Overview

The CB1000F takes the street fighting CB1000 Hornet (whose package of engine and handling performance and outstanding value for money has completely reset expectations across the naked segment) as a reference point and builds on some shared fundamentals to create a soul and identity all of its own.

First up is the engine – heart and soul of any motorcycle. Honda’s development engineers have added real off-beat character and feel to the 1000cc, four-cylinder powerplant via inlet, cam timing and exhaust revisions. Output has also been adjusted and moved down the rev-range; maximum power of 91kW arrives @ 9,000rpm, with 103Nm torque @ 8,000rpm to provide more low- and mid-range push, alongside gearbox ratios enhancing low-speed acceleration and high-speed cruising.

Then there’s the look, of course. The bike’s swooping style is pure ‘80s, a decade making a huge comeback over 40 years on – influencing popular culture in everything from music, style, clothing and more. The clean design of the CB1000F focuses on the essentials, with a strong connecting line flowing from the tank, through the side covers and seat into the rear cowl. The single round headlamp is flanked by twin horns, and the bold tank and side cover graphics are inspired by Freddie Spencer’s high-barred AMA bike. The diamond frame doubles as a design feature, with a bespoke subframe for more seat room.

41mm Showa SFF-BP USD front forks and Showa rear shock deliver adjustable, high-quality suspension control, with bespoke settings and Pro-Link rear suspension for a supple all-round ride. Four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers – with bespoke tune – work 310mm floating discs while cast aluminium wheels mount 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres.

A six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is now at the centre of ride control. Throttle By Wire (TBW) delivers three default riding modes with preset combinations of Power, Engine Brake, Wheelie Control and HSTC settings, plus USER option allowing the rider to choose their own preferred settings. The optically bonded five-inch TFT screen offers intuitive usability, clarity even in bright light, and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity through the simple switchgear on the left handlebar. A Honda Smart Key operates the ignition switch.

The CB1000F will be available in a range of colour options:

  • *NEW* Wolf Silver Metallic with Blue Stripe
  • *NEW* Wolf Silver Metallic with Grey Stripe
  • *NEW* Graphite Black

3. Key Features
    3.1 Engine

  • Engine tuned for low- to mid-range response
  • Extensively tuned intake and cam timing deliver strong torque with distinct, off-beat four-cylinder feel
  • Gear ratios chosen for excellent low-speed acceleration and relaxed cruising
  • Assist/slipper clutch control

Based originally on the 17YM-spec. CBR1000RR Fireblade’s power unit, the 1000cc DOHC inline four-cylinder engine has been specifically tuned for its new roadster role to deliver a torquey, characterful feel through the lower rpm zone, with smooth mid-range output and accessible top-end zip.

Bore and stroke is set at 76 x 55.1mm, with compression ratio of 11.7:1. Maximum power of 91kW arrives @ 9,000rpm, with 103Nm torque @ 8,000rpm. Compared to the Hornet – 111.6kW @ 11,000rpm/104Nm @ 9,000rpm – this is a marked, and deliberate, difference. Because, while the Hornet hits hard up top to give a streetfighter’s adrenaline rush, the CB1000F delivers the meat of its performance at lower rpm, away from the redline for more all-round riding enjoyment.

A variety of development work has gone into the engine to create the change in character. Revised camshafts for exhaust and intake valve timing, as well as tuned intake specifications, give the CB1000F an evocative, unique four-cylinder engine sound as well as delivering enjoyable, well-balanced performance across the entire rpm range.

The intake side has been completely revised for improved low- to mid-range performance and throttle response below 6,000rpm. Intake funnel length has been extended 50mm to 140mm, with minimum diameter now 36mm (from 42mm). The funnel inlet diameters vary: 40mm for the right pair and 50mm for the left. This creates a ‘pulsating’ intake sound as the throttle opens. Smoothed across its top section, the airbox matches the shape of the fuel tank and delivers the volume required for maximum airflow with reduced intake resistance.

Designed to produce a sensuous note off the bottom and through the mid-range – plus exhilarating soundtrack up top – the 4-2-1 exhaust feeds a period-correct three-chamber ‘megaphone’ style muffler, working alongside the offset intake setup and valve timing.

The transmission has also been revised. First and second gears use lower ratios, increasing low-speed response and acceleration. Third, fourth, fifth and sixth all employ higher ratios, for a more relaxed, lower-revving ride while cruising – at 100km/h in top gear – the engine is turning over @ 4,000rpm, compared to the Hornet’s 4,300rpm. An assist/slipper clutch offers a light load at the lever, reducing fatigue, and manages rear wheel ‘hop’ under hard, rapid downshifts and braking.

The engine returns fuel efficiency of 5.6L/ 100km and the fuel tank holds 16L, giving a potential range over 280km.

3.2 Engine Electronics

  • Six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) management of all ride systems
  • Throttle By Wire (TBW) control; three default rider modes plus two USER custom options
  • Three levels of Engine Power and Engine Brake
  • Three levels of Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)

TBW management and a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) are at the heart of the CB1000F’s electronics package. And TBW allows the rider maximum control over the engine via three default riding modes with preset combinations of Engine Power, Engine Brake and HSTC settings, plus two user defined options that allow the rider to choose their own preferred mix of settings. Selection is managed via the left handlebar and TFT screen.

There are levels 1-3 of Power and Engine Brake with 3 as the maximum of each parameter. There are also three levels of HSTC – each level’s amount of intervention is optimised to work with real-time input (yaw/roll angle and rate) from the IMU. Level 3 provides the highest intervention. An indicator in the instrument display activates when HSTC is working; it can also be turned off completely.

  • STANDARD mode uses the middle setting for Power, HSTC and Engine Brake. It is designed to replicate the feel and drive of a bank of carburettors, with an easy-going character.
  • SPORT uses the highest Power delivery and lowest levels of Engine Brake and HSTC to deliver maximum big-bike performance, with enhanced throttle response.
  • RAIN mode employs the lowest Power setting for the least aggressive throttle response, medium amount of Engine Brake and maximum HSTC. The lower levels of power and torque delivery are focused on the first 3 gears.
  • USER modes 1 and 2 allow the rider to choose between the settings for each parameter and save the setting for future use.

3.3 Styling & Equipment

  • Lines drawn from the CB750F and CB900F of the early 1980s
  • Full LED lighting plus twin, dual horns as per the originals
  • Honda Smart Key convenience
  • Five-inch TFT screen with full Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity
  • Honda Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) integration
  • Pre-consumer recycled polypropylene used in manufacture of some parts

The CB1000F draws its retro style from the CB750F and CB900F – bikes born at the end of the 1970s that helped redefine and shape global motorcycle design. Designed to provide ‘high performance that anyone can enjoy’, just as the CB brand always has, the CB1000F features strong, defined and flowing lines that run the bike’s full length, connecting the fuel tank through the side covers to the tail unit. The chromed downpipes and exposed engine proudly show off the handsome presence and power of a large displacement four-cylinder engine.

Long-life, energy-saving LED bulbs are used for all lighting. The round headlight shape uses a classic circular signature light, with low beam at the top and high beam at the bottom while the taillight fits neatly into the tail unit. And taking direct inspiration from its forebears, dual horns – using different frequencies – are sited beneath the headlight.

For added convenience a Honda Smart Key (kept in the rider’s pocket) operates the main ignition switch, which is sited on the top bridge. A regular key unlocks the seat and petrol cap.

Premium technology, in the form of a five-inch full colour TFT screen, uses optical bonding to improve visibility in bright sunlight. By sealing the gap between the cover glass and TFT screen with resin, glare is reduced and backlight transmittance improved. It’s customisable between Bar, Circle and Simple display patterns and offers IOS/Android smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app.

This feature – alongside a simple, easy-to-use, backlit four-way toggle-switch on the left handlebar – allows straightforward, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation as well as the option (via a Bluetooth helmet headset) for the rider to make calls or listen to music. All an owner does is download the Honda RoadSync app from either the Play Store or the App Store, connect to the CB1000F, and go.

The indicators also incorporate an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) function: under hard braking, the hazard lights flash to warn other road users a hard stop is in process.

By 2050 Honda aims to realise a society with zero environmental impact – not only through its products but also throughout the entire life cycle of its corporate activities. To achieve this, Honda is working on three pillars (Triple Action to Zero) of carbon neutrality, renewable energy, and resource circulation, including the expanding of its use of biomass and recycled materials, with the aim of a switch to more easily recyclable materials by 2050.

The CB1000F's rear mudguard and seat bottom panels are made from pre-consumer recycled PP (polypropylene) material, which is made by crushing, compounding, pelletising, and recycling pre-consumer recycled materials such as those from automobiles and home appliances.

3.4 Chassis

  • Diamond frame with long subframe for rider and pillion comfort
  • Fully adjustable 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD forks
  • New Showa Pro-Link rear shock with CB1000F-specific linkage ratio
  • Four-piston, radial-mount front brake calipers bite 310mm floating discs
  • Cornering ABS elevates peace of mind
  • 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 front and rear tyres

The CB1000 Hornet has been acclaimed for its light, easy handling and that ability starts with the frame which the CB1000F also employs. The one-piece steel diamond-style twin-spar unit is designed around the engine and uses an F-specific rear subframe, opening room for more comfortable two-up riding. In addition, a centre stand can also be fitted, easing chain maintenance. Rake and trail are set at 25° and 98mm, with wheelbase of 1,455mm. Kerb weight is set at 214kg.

The riding position is relaxed, and upright for stress-free riding and good visibility in town. A 2.8m minimum turning radius – alongside the easy-handling geometry – ensures light urban manoeuvrability. The seat uses thick cushioning with seat height set at 795mm; the bike’s narrow mid-section makes for easy ground reach. Ground clearance is 135mm.

Up front, Showa 41mm Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SFF-BP) USD forks are adjustable for spring preload and rebound/compression damping – allowing owners to tailor to their preferences. The new single tube separate-pressurisation Showa rear shock operates through Pro-Link – with a new linkage that offers ride comfort at lower, around-town speeds and more stability as velocity increases – and adjusts for preload via cam; rebound damping is adjustable.

The asymmetrical cast aluminium swingarm minimises muffler clearance for improved lean angle and moves its mass closer to the centre of gravity. It also offers an optimum rigidity balance for sportier riding on twisting mountain roads.

Dual, radial-mount Nissin four-piston calipers grip 310mm floating discs. To match the suspension settings – and create an easy-to-handle machine – the brake hose expansion rates have been revised (along with other detail changes) to create reassuring brake performance and feel. Cornering ABS, managed by the six-axis IMU, adds extra peace of mind for the rider. The rear 240mm disc employs a Nissin single-piston caliper.

The 5Y-spoke design wheels (originally drawn from the concept of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade) are cast in lightweight aluminium. Tyres are sized 120/70-ZR17 front and 180/55-ZR17 rear.

Europe’s best-selling tourer stays fresh for 26YM with new colour line-up

  • New shade available on both NT1100 and NT1100 Electronic Suspension models
  • NT1100 remains Europe’s best-selling tourer in 2025, with a 48% segment share

Following its thorough-going refresh last year, Honda is pleased to announce a new colour line-up for its ‘New Tourer’ – the NT1100.

First introduced for 22YM, the NT1100 is a timeless combination of engaging performance, sweet handling and long-range comfort, and is packed with a raft of the latest technology to offer a contemporary take on classic tourer qualities.

This combination has proved immensely popular across Europe, gaining the NT1100 the number one spot in the touring category since 2023. In total, over 20,000 have found homes in Europe, with over 5,000 sold in 2025 so far – almost half of all tourers sold across the continent.

The 25YM redesign was comprehensive, with the NT1100 receiving updates to styling, performance and handling. Headlines included Daytime Running Lights complete with subtly integrated indicators, a refined and improved adjustable screen, 7% more low- and mid-range torque from the proven 1,084cc parallel twin cylinder engine and the introduction of Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (Showa-EERA™) suspension working through a 6-axis IMU.

Paired with a comprehensive spec list that includes a full colour 6.5-inch TFT touch screen with smartphone connectivity, cruise control, upgraded heated grips, ACC and USB charging sockets, self-cancelling indicators, Emergency Stop Signals (ESS) and a centre stand, and it’s not hard to see why the NT1100 is Europe’s best-selling tourer.

For 26YM, NT1100 and NT1100 Electronic Suspension’s revised colour line-up will be comprised of the following three options:

  • **NEW** Iridium Gray Metallic
  • Mat Warm Ash Metallic
  • Pearl Hawkseye Blue
